You’re replacing a large two-story roof. Gutting an entire house down to the studs. Demolishing a commercial building. Cleaning out a massive hoarding situation. It’s one of our largest sizes at RDR Property Maintenance, built for serious projects around Ocala and Marion County. When contractors and homeowners need maximum capacity, this is what they rent. Costs $515 with 14 days included. Ryan’s been renting 30 yard dumpsters throughout Marion County since 2020 for large-scale residential and commercial projects. Call him at (352) 843-7280.

What is a 30 Yard Dumpster?

A 30 yard dumpster holds 30 cubic yards of debris – about nine pickup truck loads. It measures roughly 22 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 6 feet high. The tall sides mean you can stack debris higher, maximizing capacity for bulky materials.

Price: $515 for Marion County delivery

What’s included:

– Delivery and placement
– The dumpster for up to 14 days
– One ton of debris (2,000 pounds)
– Pickup and proper disposal

Additional costs if needed:

– Extra days: $25/day after 14 days
– Extra weight: $95/ton over 2,000 pounds
– Small fuel surcharge for some farther Marion County locations

The $515 covers the complete rental. Large roofing projects and whole-house demolitions typically go over the one-ton weight limit, so budget for overage fees.

What Projects Need a 30 Yard Dumpster?

  • Large roof replacements – Two-story homes, houses with steep pitches, or homes with large square footage need the 30 yard. Roofing contractors around Ocala use these for substantial residential roofing projects.
  • Whole-house demolitions – When you’re gutting an entire house down to the frame, the 30 yard gives you capacity to work through multiple rooms. Major renovation projects that involve tearing out everything.
  • Commercial demolitio – Taking down commercial buildings, strip malls, office spaces. The 30 yard handles commercial demolition debris throughout Marion County.
  • New construction cleanup – Builders use 30 yard dumpsters for construction site cleanup. Scrap lumber, packaging, drywall scraps, all the debris from building a new home.
  • Large estate cleanouts – When an entire large property needs to be cleared and there’s decades of accumulation, the 30 yard provides the space needed.
  • Multiple building demolition – Tearing down several sheds, outbuildings, or structures at once on a Marion County property.
  • Major commercial renovations – Restaurants, retail spaces, offices undergoing complete renovation need the capacity of a 30 yard dumpster.
  • Extreme hoarding cleanouts – The most severe hoarding situations where every room is packed floor to ceiling throughout a large house.

What Fits in a 30 Yard Dumpster?

  • About nine pickup truck loads worth of debris. You’d need to make nine trips to the dump to equal what fits in one 30 yard dumpster.
  • One large two-story roof tear-off. All the shingles, underlayment, and roofing materials from a substantial home.
  • Whole-house demolition debris – Everything from gutting an entire house – drywall, flooring, cabinets, fixtures, doors, trim, all of it.
  • 160-180 trash bags – For massive cleanouts where everything’s getting bagged.
  • Multiple rooms worth of renovation debris – When you’re doing a whole-house remodel and tearing out 4-5 rooms at once.
  • Commercial demolition materials – The debris from taking down commercial buildings or large structures.
  • About the weight limit: One ton is just the starting point for 30 yard dumpsters. Most projects using this size go over. Large roofs often hit 3-4 tons. Whole-house demos can be 5-6 tons. Ryan can estimate your weight based on the project when you call.

Dumpster Placement and Dimensions

The 30 yard measures 22 feet long × 8 feet wide × 6 feet high. It’s long and tall. You need a good-sized driveway or you’ll need to put it on the street.

At 6 feet high, the sides are taller than most people. You’ll need to toss lighter materials over the side or use the walk-in door if the dumpster has one. Heavier materials get loaded with equipment or by walking them to the edge and tipping them in.

Ryan delivers it with a roll-off truck. Needs hard surface placement – driveway, street, commercial parking lot. Never on grass or soft ground.

Many 30 yard rentals in Ocala end up on the street because residential driveways can’t accommodate 22 feet. Some Marion County cities require permits for street placement. Ryan handles rentals throughout the county and knows which locations need permits.

Is a 30 Yard Dumpster Right for Your Project?

Choose the 30 yard if:

  • Large two-story roof replacement
  • Whole-house demolition or gut renovation
  • Commercial demolition project
  • New construction site cleanup
  • Large estate cleanout (entire big property)
  • Multiple building demolition
  • Major commercial renovation
  • About 9-10 pickup truck loads of stuff

You probably need smaller if:

You might need bigger if:

  • Massive commercial demolition (consider 40 yard)

What Can Go in a 30 Yard Dumpster?

You CAN throw in:

Roofing materials (large quantities of shingles), construction debris, demolition debris, concrete and brick (moderate amounts – very heavy), lumber and wood, drywall, flooring, cabinets, fixtures, furniture, yard waste, commercial renovation debris, pretty much any non-hazardous building materials.

You CANNOT throw in:

Hazardous materials (paint, chemicals, oil, gasoline), asbestos, tires, batteries, electronics in most cases, anything flammable, medical waste.

Not sure about something? Call Ryan. For commercial projects, there may be additional disposal requirements.

Loading rules

Keep debris level with the top. Very heavy materials like concrete should be spread evenly, not all loaded in one spot. The 30 yard can handle weight, but it needs to be distributed properly for safe transport.
