10 Yard Dumpster Rental in Ocala & Marion County

You’re remodeling a bathroom. Cleaning out the garage. Tearing up carpet from a few rooms. Projects like these don’t need a massive dumpster, but you still need somewhere to put the debris. That’s what the 10 yard dumpster is for. It’s our smallest size at RDR Property Maintenance, perfect for small to medium projects around Ocala and Marion County. Compact enough to fit in most driveways, includes 14 days, and costs $365 with no hidden fees. Ryan’s been renting 10 yard dumpsters throughout Marion County since 2020. Call him at (352) 843-7280 and he’ll make sure this size fits your project.

What is a 10 Yard Dumpster?

A 10 yard dumpster holds 10 cubic yards of debris – about three pickup truck loads. It measures roughly 12 feet long, 8 feet wide, and 3.5 feet high. The low sides make it easy to toss stuff in without needing a ladder.

Price: $365 for Marion County delivery

What’s included:

  • Delivery and placement
  • The dumpster for up to 14 days
  • One ton of debris (2,000 pounds)
  • Pickup and proper disposal

Additional costs if needed:

  • Extra days: $25/day after 14 days
  • Extra weight: $95/ton over 2,000 pounds
  • Small fuel surcharge for some farther Marion County locations

That’s it. No delivery fee. No pickup fee. No mystery charges. The $365 covers everything for a standard rental.

What Projects Need a 10 Yard Dumpster?

  • Bathroom remodels. Tearing out a bathroom creates a decent pile. Old vanity, toilet, tub, tile, drywall, flooring. The 10 yard handles a full bathroom renovation with room to spare.
  • Garage or attic cleanouts. Years of accumulated junk, old furniture, boxes of stuff. The 10 yard gives you space to throw it all away as you sort through everything.
  • Small kitchen updates. Minor kitchen remodels work well with the 10 yard. Old cabinets, countertops, some drywall. For a complete kitchen gut, you’d need bigger.
  • Carpet removal. Ripping up carpet from a few rooms creates bulk but isn’t super heavy. Plenty of space for the old carpet, padding, and tack strips.
  • Small deck or fence removal. Taking down a small deck or section of fencing fits in a 10 yard.
  • Landscaping debris. Tree branches from trimming, bushes, yard waste from cleaning up overgrown areas around your Ocala property.
  • Flooring removal. Tile, hardwood, or laminate from a couple rooms. Flooring is bulkier than it is heavy, so you get plenty of space.

What Fits in a 10 Yard Dumpster?

About three pickup truck loads worth of debris. If you’ve been hauling to the dump yourself, it’ll take you three trips to match what fits in one 10 yard dumpster.

One full bathroom renovation worth of debris. Vanity, toilet, tub, tile, drywall, flooring. All of it with room to spare.

50-60 trash bags. If you’re cleaning out a garage or attic and bagging everything, you can fit about 50 to 60 bags.

Furniture from a couple rooms. A couch, loveseat, table, chairs, maybe a dresser. Household furniture from a moderate cleanout.

250-300 square feet of flooring debris. Carpet, tile, hardwood, whatever you’re ripping up.

About the weight limit: The one-ton included weight is generous for most projects. You might go over if you’re throwing in lots of concrete, brick, dirt, or roofing shingles. Those materials are heavy. Mention it to Ryan when you call if your project involves heavy stuff.

Dumpster Placement and Dimensions

The 10 yard measures 12 feet long × 8 feet wide × 3.5 feet high. Fits in most residential driveways in Ocala. Even tight driveways usually work as long as there’s 12 feet of straight space.

Ryan delivers it with a roll-off truck. The dumpster rolls off the back and gets placed exactly where you want it. Needs to be on a hard surface – driveway, street, parking area. Can’t go on grass because a loaded dumpster weighs several tons.

Ryan puts boards underneath to protect your driveway. Prevents scratches or marks. Most driveways have no damage at all.

If your driveway won’t work, the dumpster can often go on the street. Some Marion County cities require a permit for street placement. Ryan can tell you if you need one for your location.

The whole process from first call to final pickup typically takes a week or so for most Ocala homeowners.

Is a 10 Yard Dumpster Right for Your Project?

Choose the 10 yard if:

  • Remodeling one bathroom
  • Cleaning out a garage, attic, or closets
  • Removing carpet from 2-3 rooms
  • Small kitchen update (not full gut)
  • Small deck or short fence removal
  • About 3-4 pickup truck loads of stuff

You probably need bigger if:

  • Full kitchen remodel (15 or 20 yard)
  • Multiple room renovation
  • Roof replacement (20 or 30 yard)
  • Whole estate cleanout (20 or 30 yard)
  • Way more than 3-4 truck loads
  •

You might want smaller if:

  • Just a couch and a few items (call for junk removal instead)
  • Really small project

Not sure? Call Ryan at (352) 843-7280. He’ll help you figure out the right size. He’s not going to rent you a 10 yard if you really need bigger – he’d rather get it right from the start.

What Can Go in a 10 Yard Dumpster?

You CAN throw in

Construction debris (drywall, lumber, cabinets), bathroom renovation debris, furniture, carpeting, appliances (call first about refrigerators), yard waste, household junk, doors, windows, roofing materials, concrete and brick in small amounts.

You CANNOT throw in

Hazardous materials (paint, chemicals, oil, gasoline), asbestos, tires, batteries, most electronics (ask Ryan), anything flammable, medical waste.

Loading rules

Keep debris level with the top. Don’t overfill it. Distribute weight evenly. Break down large items when possible.
